Britney talks about Maui Fantasy with Bustle

Britney talked about Maui Fantasy in a new interview with Bustle. Here’s the full article. Maui Fantasy, a limited edition perfume, will available later this month at Kohl’s for $31.

 

Although it might not seem like it, Britney is still reigning queen, IMHO. If you don’t believe me, here’s proof: She launched a new product on Monday to remind us that she’s a savvy business woman, fashionista, and a pop culture icon. Britney Spears launched a new fragrance, and it’s a tropical remix of everyone’s favorite scent, Fantasy.

Spears announced the new destination fragrance, Maui Fantasy, on her personal Instagram account. “Say aloha to my new destination fragrance #MauiFantasy!! Coming soon!” she captioned, while holding a round bottle with a hot pink hibiscus flower on the front. This fragrance is Spears’ 19th (!!!) scent in a billion dollar fragrance franchise, so chances are it’s deliciously irresistible. It turns out that Maui is her favorite destination spot for her and her two sons, and she wanted to model the new scent after a relaxing getaway.

“Whenever I have a chance to relax and spend time with my family, we escape to Hawaii,” Spears said. “Maui is one of my favorite islands. I wanted to create a fragrance that gives me the amazing feeling I have while I’m there – surrounded by the ocean and beautiful flowers. Every time I smell Maui Fantasy, it brings me back to a place of happiness and relaxation.”

The scent blends top notes like grapefruit and passion fruit, with floral mid notes and a vanilla and coconut base. It’s definitely sweeter than the originalFantasy fragrance, which has undertones like musk and orris root blended with smells of cupcakes and white chocolate. Plus, this bottle isn’t as swanky as the original fascia Fantasy bottle, dotted with Swarovski crystals. The Maui Fantasy packaging is a little more relaxed, which perfectly matches the vibes and inspiration of the scent.

The fragrance is limited edition, so hardcore fans will have to hurry to get a bottle. Maui Fantasy will available later this month at Kohl’s for $31.

E! News exclusive: Britney Spears Staying in Las Vegas! “I’m Not Ready to Leave”

Following the official announcement of her renewed contract to her Las Vegas residency, Britney was interviewed by E! News and she talks about her decision to stay there. We haven’t seen the last of Britney Spears in Las Vegas.

The pop princess just announced during her show at The Axis at Planet Hollywood that she has signed a new deal to extend her residency.

Spears, 33, told me exclusively earlier today how excited she is about continuingBritney: Piece of Me.

“I’m not ready to leave Vegas yet! And I just really really love this show and this city,” she said. “I’m so proud of the show, and my band, my dancers and my crew have all become such a family to me. When it came down to me really having to make this decision, I just couldn’t imagine ending my residency at the end of this year.”

And even if you’ve seen the show already, be prepared to book another trip to Sin City because Brit has some new ideas in the works. “I definitely have some major changes planned. I’m getting together with my team this week to go over the set list, design some new costumes and dream up new props,” she said. “There are a few songs that are fan favorites that I really want to add to the show. It’s very exciting! If you haven’t seen the current show yet, you should come out before the end of the year.”

Planet Hollywood offered her a new deal at the end of July, but on Aug. 16 Spears told me that she hadn’t yet made a final decision.

“I’m not really sure,” Spears said at the Teen Choice Awards. “I haven’t made up my mind. I really love doing the show. It’s a lot, a lot of fun, but I’m kind of torn right now. I don’t really know what I want to do.”

Fortunately, she decided to stay. If she hadn’t, her last shows would have taken place over New Year’s weekend.

While rumors started circulating as early as 2011 that she was in talks for a residency, Spears confirmed the news in September 2013 during an appearance onGood Morning America. Piece of Me launched on Dec. 27, 2013.

She celebrated her 100th show last month.

Britney Spears Confirms She May Be Leaving Las Vegas

E! Online interviewed Britney today at the TCA and she confirmed she may not renew her residency at The Axis at Planet Hollywood and she also talked about her new music.

 

Britney Spears‘ reign in Las Vegas could be coming to an end.

I just spoke exclusively to the pop star at the Teen Choice Awards and she confirmed she may not renew her residency at The Axis at Planet Hollywood.

“I’m not really sure,” Spears said. “I haven’t made up my mind. I really love doing the show. It’s a lot, a lot of fun but I’m kind of torn right now. I don’t really know what I want to do.”

If she doesn’t strike a new deal, her last performances of Britney: Piece of Me will take place later this month through October with finals shows happening over New Year’s Weekend. Brit marked her 100th show on Friday night.

As I previously reported, a new contract is currently on the table.

Spears has been in the studio working on new music. “We’re having fun right now,” she said. “I’m working with some women who are amazing writers. I have ballads and, of course, dance music—fun cheeky sexy stuff.”

“That time of my life, it was great,” the former backup dancer told Us. “It was fun, it was crazy, it was chaos…The limelight, the entertainment business, the lifestyle — period. When you’re 25-years-old, how do you handle that? Nobody can prepare you.”

“Having 50 paparazzi suddenly in my face was a huge eye-opener. Our life was running at 150,000 miles per hour. I soaked up as much of the lifestyle as I could. I’d walk into a club and get a table worth $15,000 a night with unlimited free drinking. To not have to worry about making my next car payment felt like a huge weight lifted off my soul. But everything got so crazy.”

“We had an instant chemistry – and then it became a soap opera for the world. It surprised me how down-to-earth she was, with normal Southern values instilled by her parents – but also, obviously, not that innocent… I have so many great memories that outweigh the bad.”

“There was ups and downs. We’re not perfect people, obviously,” he told Us. “There’s things that she did, there’s things that I did…I think all of that is just from being young and everything plays a part into it…[but] I have so many great memories, they outweigh the bad,” Federline recalled. “For us to split up and me say that, it should speak very loudly.”

“Britney proposing to me on a plane three months after we met and getting married two months later was just us living in the moment. I really thought I’d spend the rest of my life with her… There were a few drastic things that went down, which I’ll never talk about, but overall we still had fun. So when she filed for divorce, I was completely caught off guard. Look, there are a million things I could say about her that would make huge headlines and cause a ton of drama, but for what? The truth is I loved her to death.”

“It was extremely tough watching her go through a phase where she was clearly not OK right after the divorce. There’s a lot more I could have done to help. Taking full custody of the boys sucked the life out of me, but it was for them. I have to give Britney’s dad, Jamie, a lot of credit for saving her. He made it so I could actually deal with her again.”

And I saw Charlie on TV last night. Did you see it?

Yes! My son is dating Britney Spears and they are crazy for each other. They just absolutely love each other. I tell people this is the same thing is happening for her that happened for me. She has a residency in Vegas so she knows where she is going to be all the time, she is making a lot of money doing that so she’s not under pressure to get out there. I think the work is really, really hard. The 90-minute show is a killer, but I think it gives her a sense of rhythm. She sees her kids on a regular basis, and it’s all very ordinary. Charlie is crazy about her so that’s nice.

That’s wonderful. That must be a lot of work to prepare for that show.

She was over visiting Charlie one afternoon and she ran like 80 minutes on the treadmill. With a 90 minute show I don’t care who you are you can’t like slack off.

Wow that is dedication!

It’s fun to root for her. I’m all about her and she has a new song and all of us are so excited for her. But mostly we’re really happy for Charlie, because Charlie works really hard and he doesn’t take a lot of time off, and he’s found time for this thing to grow. I am wishing him all the best.
