Read out below this new interview Britney gave to Cosmopolitan to promote her new mobile game “Britney Spears: American Dream”.
Oh, hey, did you know that Britney Spears just released an iPhone app? Because you really should know that, and you should also be playing it. Not right now, because you should read this first, but in a minute, OK?
As it happens, one of the first scenes in the game involves you meeting Britney at your local “Starbeans,” a fictional coffee shop that, you know, well, it’s Starbucks but the developers couldn’t get the rights to the name. You perform a quick song while she waits in line for her “strawberry whippaccino” and impress her so much that she sets you off on your quest for A-list musical fame.
Another way to impress Britney while she’s waiting to her caffeine fix IRL, though, would be to buy it for her. (I’m guessing here, technically, but when is a free Frapp not a good thing?!) Britney loves her Starbucks! So get the details here as, between breaks while she rehearses for this weekend’s Billboard Music Awards performance, Britney kindly answered a few of Cosmopolitan.com’s pressing questions about her app, her cellphone habits, and coffee, because well, it was either that or questions about the Kardashians.
You’re a regular Starbucks customer IRL — what’s your go-to coffee order?
Passion Tango Herbal Tea is my drink of choice. So what made you decide to debut an iPhone game, which I’m obsessed with already, BTW. And what’s been your favorite part of the design process?
Thank you so much, I’m really glad you like it! I just think it’s going to be so cool to interact with my fans in a whole new way … I was really involved in the overall look and feel of the game. My favorite details are the different outfits I wear in the game because I’ve worn [many of] them in real life. Are there any characters in the game that are maybe based on real-life people — like how everyone speculated Willow Pape in Kim Kardashian’s app was, you know, Paris Hilton? I’m wondering about that villainous Aston Kole in particular, TBH.
No! The game is its own little world. So when you’re not playing it yourself, what are some of your other go-to apps?
Other than my game, I love Instagram.Obviously, because you’re a selfie queen — what are some of your top tips for taking good selfies?
Just have fun and never take yourself too seriously. And what’s your best IRL advice for people looking to break into the music industry — folks without you as their fairy godmother specifically?
No matter what, never give up on your dreams. And keep that in mind, please, because, after all, it’s called Britney Spears: American Dream for a reason. Click through for Cosmopolitan.com’s full review/play-through, and then, please, get to downloading it. Britney would want you to!
