Britney is in New York for the VMAs, but she’s also promoting her new album, Glory. Here’s the full interview with iHeart Radio and she talks about Glory, telling us that it was Preston  who chose the album title, the Super Bowl, Carpool Karaoke and more.

Cubby: Welcome back to New York Britney! 

Britney Spears: Thank you so much. I am so excited to be here. I woke up this morning and was like where am I? oh my God, New York

Cubby: Well when was the last time you were here, it’s been awhile right?

Britney: Two years

Cubby: Is there a go-to spot, that you just have to go to in New York? 

Britney Spears: I love greenwhich village, I think it’s really fun there and I um, Honestly every time I land here I just want to cry. There’s so many people I have such good memories here and I just love all the people. It’s great.

Carolina: Speaking of memories, what is it about performing at the VMAs that every artist just talks about it being a huge part of their career? 

Britney: It’s just something in the air at the vmas, it’s like electric. I can’t really explain it. Every time I’ve performed there it’s always been one of these nerve racking experiences.

Carolina: Yea but you’re BRITNEY, why do u get nervous?

Britney: Oh my God you’re so sweet, I still get very nervous.

Cubby: Well congratulations again, Glory just dropped at midnight, how long has this album been in the making?

Britney: Like two and a half years.

Cubby: Why so long? 

Britney: When we first stareted the project, I wasn’t really happy. That took about 6 months.  Then we found an amazing girl who found me the most fun people to write with. Things started rolling. We made a good body of work

Carolina: Is there any chance that you’re going to hit the road? 

Britney: You never know, honestly, my situation right now is very cool, I’m kind of spoiled. But you know, who knows what the future brings.

Cubby: Now you and Madonna are long time friends, any chance you would work again, together?

Britney: Yea, I wouldn’t mind… she’s so amazing…of course!

Carolina: There are so many names that are being thrown out for the Super Bowl Half Time show, and obviously you’ve been there before, but people want to see you, by yourself on that stage. Would that ever happen.. would that ever be a consideration for you? 

Britney: Maybe a lot of training and work before that happens. But I’ve never done that before, it would be itimidating. It would be fun though…
