Britney Spears is being lined up to perform during the half-time show at the 50th Super Bowl next year.
It’s reported Thursday that the 33-year-old pop star is in talks to provide some of the live entertainment at the NFL’s showpiece game in February 2016 in the San Francisco Bay area.
It comes as the Toxic singer continues to sell out her Britney: Piece Of Me show at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
Britney, who’s had hits with Oops!… I Did It Again and Baby One More Time, believes her Sin City success makes it the right time for a new challenge, an insider tells the National Enquirer.
‘She’s ready to do something massive,’ according to the tabloid’s unnamed source.
‘She’s definitely doing a part in the Super Bowl halftime show next year. The details haven’t totally been worked out yet, but it will be huge.’
According to the insider, Britney will be joined on stage by a number of famous friends, including most likely Wrecking Ball hitmaker Miley Cyrus since the two share a management team.

Britney Spears ha realizado casi 100 shows en el Planet Hollywood Las Vegas desde que lanzó su octavo álbum de estudio, Britney Jean (2013). Y a pesar de que la cantante ha trabajado en el estudio desde Septiembre, no esperes un nuevo álbum pronto.
“Voy a hacer un nuevo álbum de a poco pero si lo haré. Tengo un montón de cosas por hacer con mis chicos y sus escuelas y, ya sabes, añadiendo nuevos deportes y cosas como esas. Trataré de dar lo mejor de mi para hacer un gran álbum pero ahora mismo no es mi propiedad” Reveló Britney a la revista, quien tiene dos hijos, Sean Preston, 9, y Jayden James, 8, quien luego agregó entre risas, “Los hijos te pueden volver loca.”
Britney Jean debutó en el No. 4 del Billboard 200 en Diciembre del 2013, con ventas de 107.000 en su primer semana (Su debut mas bajo para un álbum de estudio). Este álbum incluye los singles que entraron en el Top 100, “Work Bitch” (No. 12) y “Perfume” (No. 76), los cuales canta en su show de Las Vegas, Piece Of Me. Hasta el 21 de Febrero, la residencia de Spears recaudó mas de $42 millones en venta de entradas, de acuerdo a lo informado por Caesars Entertainment, y la cantante está comprometida a seguir con la residencia hasta el final del 2015.

Britney Spears has performed nearly 100 shows at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas since the release of her eighth studio album, 2013’s Britney Jean. And though the singer has been back in the studio as far back as September, don’t expect a proper follow-up anytime soon.
“I’m gonna do [a new album] slowly but surely,” Spears tells Billboard for the latest cover story, on stands Friday, March 13. “There’s a lot going on with my kids and schools and, you know, adding new sports and stuff like that. I’m gonna try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it’s not my full priority right now.” The mother of sons Sean Preston, 9, and Jayden James, 8, then added with a laugh, “Kids can drive you crazy.”
Britney Jean debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in December 2013, with first-week sales of 107,000 copies (her lowest debut for a studio set.) The album included the Hot 100-charting singles “Work Bitch” (No. 12) and “Perfume” (No. 76), both of which Spears performs in her Vegas show Piece Of Me. Through Feb. 21, Spears’ performances have grossed more than $42 million in ticket sales, according to Planet Hollywood parent company Caesars Entertainment, and the singer is officially committed to the residency through the end of 2015.
However, Spears and Planet Hollywood are currently in negotiations about extending the show another two years through 2017, so a new full-length album may still prove harder to squeeze in. “Right now we’re just concentrating on putting out a few great singles as they come,” says Spears’ manager Larry Rudolph. “We’re not really talking seriously about a new album yet. Albums just aren’t as important in the digital age as they used to be. Britney will get to one eventually, but not right now.”

Solamente Pauly D, corresponsal pe ExtraTV.com, estuvo con Britney en el Zappos.com Campus en Las Vegas. Britney, quien estuvo allí para promocionar su colaboración con Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, también habló sobre su novio Charlie Ebersol y sobre su nueva música con Iggy Azalea.
Brit recientemente le confesó su amor a Charlie al usar la frase “I Love Chaarlie” en su vestuario durante su residencia en Las Vegas. Ella le reveló a Pauly D cual fue la reacción de Charlie. “El me dijo: ‘Eres la novia mas dulce del mundo’, estaba muy feliz por lo que hice.”
Charlie estuvo en los estudios Universal y allí le dijo a Extra que era muy afortunado por tenerla en su vida. Al escuchar eso, Britney dijo: “Estoy muy bendecida por tenerlo en mi vida, eso es muy cool.”
¿Podemos escuchar campanas de matrimonio en el futuro? Cuando Pauly le preguntó si había alguna chance de que la pareja se dirigiera a una de las capillas de Las Vegas, ella se río y adelantó “Nunca se sabe”.
Spears también habló sobre como fue trabajar con Iggy Azalea. “Vi su canción en la TV y estaba como un chico en una tienda de dulces. Amo a Iggy, amo ese video, quiero trabajar con ella y fue muy raro porque una semana después de eso su mánager dijo, “Ella es una gran fan tuya” y les dije “Vamos a hacer algo”, así que funcionó.”
Britney no reveló mucho sobre que están haciendo ellas juntas pero si dijo que no volverá a bailar con una serpiente como lo hizo en los VMA del 2001. “Nunca haría eso… No tengo idea en que estaba pensando.”
Y sobre su trabajo conNevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, Brit explicó, “NCFF es una organización es una organización que va en la mayor medida para ayudar a las familias y los niños en el momento de su enfermedad médica, y es de gran alcance, y estoy muy orgulloso de ser parte de esta organización.”
