Legal Drama for Britney’s new music video

According to TMZ, Britney’s new video is  involved in a legal scandal after CEO of the Kluger Agency, Adam Kluger, made a deal with Bumble to put the dating site’s name all over her new video. Britney’s people say what Kluger did is fraudulent, because he never repped Britney… So here comes all the drama!

It’s unbelievable that something like this is happening with an artists like Britney. Her team is doing a lot of things wrong lately… What is happening?! Plus, Adam Kluger is the man behinds Britney’s deal with Orange Theory and Plenty of Fish for Make Me music video, whose original video was scrapped due to problems with the sponsors, according to one of the many rumors about it.

The good news are that the music video is being made without any Bumble product placement, wich is good because Slumber Party will not be a copy of Hilary Duff’s Spark music video (AKA Tinder advertisement)

Britney Spears is entangled in a raging dispute over the Bumble dating service … TMZ has learned.

Britney’s lawyer fired off a threatening letter to Adam Kluger, claiming he went behind Britney’s back and negotiated with Bumble to fund her new music video.

According to the letter, obtained by TMZ, Kluger allegedly told Bumble he had authority to rep Britney for an $800,000 deal that would put the Bumble name all over her new vid. The lawyer says Bumble agreed and gave Kluger $200k up-front. Kluger then made a deal with Britney’s label, RCA, to pay them $450,000 for the Bumble product placement promotion.

Britney’s people say what Kluger did is fraudulent, because he never repped Britney. They also say his $350k fee — more than 43% of the deal — is ridiculous and way above what agents charge.

Kluger tells us he never told Bumble he repped Britney. He says his company is a creative agency that puts people and companies together, which is exactly what he did here. He also said his company has worked with Britney before on projects involving Orange Theory and Plenty of Fish.

Kluger also says he’s on the Forbes List of the 30 Most Influential People in Music Under the Age of 30. Kluger’s lawyer tells us, “We are going to defend the sterling reputation of The Kluger Agency in court as necessary. The allegations are false. The Kluger Agency has done nothing wrong.”

As for the music video, we’ve learned it’s being made … but without any Bumble product placement. And get this … Britney made a deal with the dating service, which will underwrite the music video, and in return she’s gonna do something with Bumble … hmmm.

Confirmed: The 2nd single will be a collaboration with Tinashe

The rumors were true… Britney will be doing a collaboration with Tinashe for the 2nd single of Glory. The song is almost confirmed to be Slumber Party. As previously reported, they filmed the music video yesterday.

Britney shared a picture on her social media accounts, confirming the collab and then Tinashed published a message on her twitter.

What do you think?

Slumber Party is coming?!

According to several sources Glory’s second single will be the fan favourite… Slumber Party! And if that is not enough, other sources indicate that Britney began recording the video today.

Someone on PJ Forum said: “The dancers are going to be wearing lingerie for some scenes and she’s designing n creating masks for them. This is the smallest budget I’ve ever worked with.” Plus, on October 19 BreatheHeavy revealed that Britney rehearsed “Slumber Party” for the first time.

And last but not least, Bradley Stern from Pop Crush posted on his twitter account:

What do you think, Army? All we hope for this video is that Larry video doesn’t say “It just didn’t work”, so we end up getting a video taken from Disney Channel… The album is falling off the charts, wich is a shame because it’s one of her best, so it needs a GREAT video with great promo… And Slumber Party has the potential.

On the secret to her longevity: “I try not to analyse it too much. I love what I do and I think that helps because it speaks for itself when I perform.”

On another career path: “Seeing other artists continue to do this kind of thing inspires me too. Because sometimes I’m like, ‘What am I doing?’ Like, I could be a teacher. But then I see other people doing it too and I’m like, “Well, you know, it’s probably all they’ve known for so long, so it just kind of makes sense.”

On her creative input with Glory: “Honestly, this is the first project where I’ve really been hands-on. I was really specific about who I worked with and I’ve been learning to say no. I’m a people-pleaser, so that’s hard for me – even if I don’t like something, I’ll do it just to make a person happy. I made sure this album was everything I wanted it to be. I was really selfish with it.”

Being nicknamed Godney and The Holy Spearit: “That’s just how the fans are – and I don’t want to let them down. At the end of the day, we’re all human and we all make mistakes. It’s really flattering, but I don’t know if I can set my bar that high. I’m sure a lot of them have almost felt like they’ve grown up with me.”

On Beyonce’s latest album Lemonade: “I’m a little late on that, but it’s good, really angry, a really hardcore album. Most of the time it almost feels like a therapy album. I respect that. She’s an artist and that’s what she needs to touch on at this moment in her life.”

On Glory: “The beginning of the project was actually not that great. The songs that were coming in were not very good. So we got a new A&R girl, and we totally turned it around, gave it a profound new direction. I wanted to use my voice more. I did different stuff with my voice – more bluesy and urban stuff, and played around with different things.”

Larry Rudolph on Make Me Original video: “It’s really simple. The video just didn’t work”

Finally, Britney’s team spoke about what happened with the original video for Make Me directed by David LaChapelle. Well, we wish they didn’t… As always, nothing happened. We are just creating stories.

And we still don’t understand why we ended up getting the cheapest video ever who looked like a Lizzie McGuire’s nonsense video.

Anyway, here’s the full interview of her team with Los Angeles Time.

At the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, there was one pop star with more at stake than any other that night: Britney Spears.

Her last appearance — in 2007 — was a disaster, with the singer famously stumbling through her performance.

Not so this year, when Spears — long since removed from the time when she was a tabloid fixture and late-night punchline, slinked across the stage to her steamy comeback single, “Make Me,” the lead track from her recently released album, “Glory.”

Spears’ much-hyped return to the VMAs last month helped launch her album. “Glory” debuted at No. 3 on this week’s Billboard 200 after selling 111,000 equivalent album copies, according to Nielsen Music.

For “Glory,” her ninth album, the singer opted for tradition at a time when artists such as Frank Ocean, Rihanna and Beyoncé are finding new ways to redefine conventional releases.

“What we didn’t want to do was a secret release in the middle of the night,” RCA President Tom Corson said of her label’s strategy.

“Pop audiences want to hear something. They want to be informed and educated about [an album] to some degree. Before the advent of streaming, we would have eight- to 12-week setup cycles for major superstar acts.”

The lead-up to “Glory” was condensed into a “very reasonably tight window,” with a six-week promotional blitz that culminated with the VMAs, an appearance on James Corden’s wildly popular “The Late Late Show” segment “Carpool Karaoke” and a mini-concert on “Today” that was beamed from Spears’ hit Las Vegas residency, “Piece of Me.”

Work began on the album a year and a half ago.

“I wanted to go after a whole different vibe and try new things,” the singer said via e-mail ahead of a recent Vegas performance.

“Glory” set to debut at #3 on Billboard’s Hot 200

Billboard won’t release the chart until Sunday, but a report from Hits Daily Double confirms the news… Britney’s latest album “Glory” will debut at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 200 Album chart with 91,903 pure album sales (115,922 sales plus streaming).

Her album Britney Jean (2013) debuted at No.4 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 107,000 copies, giving Britney her lowest-peaking record in the U.S. ever.

In terms of pure physical sales, Glory is Britney’s lowest-selling album to the date, but time have changed a lot and now streaming is really important.

Britney’s is behind Barbra Streisand (No 1 with 151,116 in sales plus streaming) and Florida Georgia Line (No 2 with 148,175 sales plus streaming)

Poll: What song should be the next single of “Glory”?

PopCrush is asking what song should be the next single of “Glory”. So vote now!

It’s a Glory-ous time to be alive.

With The Legendary Miss Britney Spears in full-on #GloryPromo mode — from Carpool Karaoke to TODAY to getting Haute Coutureney in Marie Claire — there truly hasn’t been a Spearitual era more eventful and fulfilling in well over a decade.

And while “Make Me… (feat. G-Eazy)” continues to enjoy a post-MTV VMAs bump, it’s never too early to start looking ahead at what’s next.

But choosing a second single from Glory is a not-so-obvious call — she’s got plenty of viable options to keep her oooh-ing.

Is Brit’s best bet to continue down the vibe-y path with something like “Just Luv Me”? Or maybe grab the pillows for a “Slumber Party”? Maybe it’s time to up the BPM and go for something more hard-edged, like “Love Me Down”? Perhaps we’ll get a starry-eyed “Man On The Moon” moment? Does not-that-innocent instant grat “Do You Wanna Come Over?” deserve the full single treatment? Or should B’s team align their chakras and follow the tell-tale sign of the memes and go with “If I’m Dancing”? Or, should she just go ahead and slay the French market with “Coupure “Électrique”?

It’s time to decide. Don’t change your mind, and no seas cortés either. Vote below — yes or no, but no maybes.
